Fishery officers to be filled in Punjab Government: Raman Bahl

The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab has issued a FISHERY advertisement to fill 27 vacancies of Fishery Officers in Fisheries department of Punjab Government.
Disclosing this here today Chairman of the Subordinate Services Selection Board Raman Bahl said that under the able guidance of Captain Amarinder Singh, advertisement has been issued to invite applications for 27 vacancies of Fishery Officer in Fisheries departments of Punjab Government from April 19, 2021. He informed that May 10 is the last date to apply and applicants will able to submit fees till May 12.
Bahl told that as a commitment made by Punjab Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment drive, the Board would carry out videography and also install jammers and biometric technology.
About Fisheries Department
Fisheries department Punjab is one of the oldest department in the Fisheries Department in the Country. The department was established in 1912.Main activity of the Fisheries Department was to exploit and conserve Fisheries resources in the natural waters. The Punjab Fisheries Act was framed in 1914 under Fisheries Act, 1897.
The activity of the Fisheries Department was to exploit and conserve the fishes in natural waters. New Fish seed farms at Amritsar, Kapurthala, Gurdaspur and Patiala were established to produce quality fish seed in the state. The scheme for the renovation of village ponds was introduced to increase the scope of social fisheries.
