SGPC’S World University Sets New Records in Admissions

An overwhelming response of students for admissions at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib has been seen this year. The University run by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, has set a new record this year, breaking the previous years’ enrollment record.
One of the major reasons for this enthusiasm among the students is said to be the quality education provided at the University and frequent placement drives organised for better future of its students. It is worth mentioning here that the University has made a name for itself not only in Punjab, but also at international academic and research platforms within its ten academic sessions. Many students of the University are doing research in foreign universities. The alumni of the University are excelling in varied fields. Students of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University have excelled not only in the field of education but also in sports and cultural activities. Apart from sports like hockey and football, students are also provided training in Sikh Martial Arts Gatka and a course in Gatka is also being run at the university.
Besides the traditional and professional courses, Bachelor in Gurudwara Management course is also being offered in the University. The state-of-the-art classroom, labs with ultra-modern facilities and a rich library have been provided to the students by the University. Seminars, conferences and training workshops are organised from time to time to engage students in higher research. Almost the entire teaching faculty in the University is PhD and UGC NET qualified. The most important thing is that even in the online classes, the students did not face any problem and they completed their studies with complete satisfaction. This is the reason that the students in the session 2021-22, preferred to enroll in Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University than any other educational institution in the area.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Pritpal Singh showed his pride in his staff and said that he is proud that the University staff members had given priority to the future of the students even in the times of pandemic, and have diligently fulfilled the responsibility of a true teacher. He expressed his delight that the students have completed their studies with good marks with the help of teachers and did not made any negligence in attaining education. All of them have collectively contributed in enhancing the image of the University in new aspirants and convinced them to join SGGSWU; that’s why admissions have been increased in the University this year comparative to previous years.
Dr. Pritpal Singh thanked the Chancellor of the University Bibi Jagir Kaur, President Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and said that besides all the factors, the main reason behind the increase in enrollment in the University is president’s vision towards education, and her determination to get the University ranked among the world’s best universities. He said that with the blessings and support of Jagir kaur, the University is taking rapid strides towards the zenith of success.
Dr. Singh also thanked Darbara Singh Guru, the trust secretary of the University, under whose leadership the University today broke the record of admissions of the last several years. Dr. Pritpal Singh also thanked all the trust members for their guidance and support.
