Rupnagar Civil Hospital provides health services to two and half  times more patients in April-Chadha

A record of 21,055 patients received health services in the month of April at the Civil Hospital Rupnagar, which is almost two and a half times more than before.

Disclosing this here on Monday  Rupnagar MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha said that since the formation of Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the health services have been greatly improved.

He said that he personally visited the hospitals and dispensaries and encouraged the officers, doctors and employees to provide better services to the needy patients. As a result, the confidence of patients in government hospitals has also increased and the OPD of Rupnagar Hospital has increased surprisingly.

Advocate Dinesh Chadha said that the present Punjab government is paying special attention to the health system which has improved the health services in the Civil Hospitals as well as all the dispensaries. He said that medical staff and doctors have been discharging their responsibilities with dedication theryby influx of large number of people towards government hospitals has rapidly increased.

Rupnagar Civil Hospital provides health services to two and half times more patients in April-Chadha. He said that 4987 patients were admitted in the emergency ward of Rupnagar in the month of April, while 2253 patients benefited from X-ray department, 867 patients got their ECG done , 687 ultrasound of pregnant women and about 124 delivery cases were registered here which is more than earlier.

He said that 24 hours CT scan services have been started in the hospital through PPP mode and work for  starting 24 hours laboratory tests is going  on which will be started very soon. A separate OPD registration counter for senior citizens is being set up in the hospital for the benefit of senior citizens. In view of the increasing number of patients in the hospital, the senior officers (doctors) who performing administrative services in the health department have also started providing OPD services to patients daily along with the doctors.
