Book Bank of Geography Dept at Govt Mohindra College receives donations

The book bank of the geography department received a donation of 51 books by Jaswinder Kaur, widow of Prof Bhagwan Singh, the former Head of the dept in Govt Mohindra College, Patiala. Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal Dr. Simrat Kaur reminded of the tenure of Prof Bhagwan Singh who was fondly remembered by the faculty owing to his generosity.
Book Bank of Geography Dept at Govt Mohindra College receives donations. The book bank of the department serves the under privileged students, who are issued the books for the whole semester due to their inability to purchase expensive books. The book bank has a rich collection of books due to the contribution of generosity of teachers, social workers along with some students donating books from time to time for helping the poor in continuing studies. The donors get the blessings for their noble cause of helping underprivileged and contributing in reducing the dropout due to financial crisis. The present HOD Prof Navjot Singh recalled his association with Prof Bhagwan Singh and shared his contribution in shaping his personality. Dr Barjinder Singh Tohra, the College vice Principal and Subhash Monga was also present on the occasion.
