Police conduct search operation in Rupnagar district

As per the instructions of Director General of Police, Punjab, a cordon and search operation was conducted in Rupnagar district on Saturday. The cordon and search operation was led by DIG. Rupnagar Range Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, and SSP Rupnagar Dr Sandeep Garg.
The search operation was conducted in different areas of Rupnagar district in which two SPs,4 DSPs.,9 Inspectors and 27 women police personnel besides 153 police personnel took part.
During the search, one kg of cannabis was recovered from two persons, against whom legal action was being taken.
Dr. Sandeep Garg said that during the search operation discussions were also held with the people, who lauded the search operation being carried out by the police department and suggested that similar search operations should be conducted in future also in view of public safety and drug prevention adding that such search operations will continue in the future also..
