Punjab CM rejects senior IAS officer’s request for relieving from job

As per available information, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has rejected the request made by senior IAS officer Amrit Kaur Gill, presently holding the charge of MD, PUNSUP to relive her from the active service.
News website royalpatiala.in was the first to break this news that Amrit Kaur Gill, a 2010 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre has submitted a request to Punjab government, seeking premature retirement on July 21,2022.
She had served the mandatory three months notice and opted for a voluntarily retirement service (VRS). Her notice period is going to expire on Oct 20,2022.
As per sources, the chief minister met her and asks her to continue her job. “Punjab needs your services” added the chief minister, while rejecting her request.
When contacted Amrit Kaur Gill, she confirmed the same and added “that the formal orders are yet to be issued”.
