Rupnagar DC directs officials to remove encroachment from the roads

Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Dr. Preeti Yadav held a special meeting with various road safety officials at District Administrative Complex Rupnagar to review the traffic arrangements of the district. On this occasion, he instructed the officials to remove illegal encroachments from the roads with immediate effect.
On this occasion, he instructed to install direction indicator boards on specific roads to run the traffic smoothly in the district. Along with this, reflectors should also be installed on the dividers on the main roads of the district so that road accidents can be avoided.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials that those who violate the traffic rules should be challaned and that there should be no negligence in this regard.
Dr. Preeti Yadav said that various programmes and awareness seminars should be organized to make more people aware of traffic rules.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Harjot Kaur, SDM Rupnagar. Harbans Singh, SDM Sri Chamkaur Sahib Amrik Singh, Secretary RTA Mohali Pooja Grewal, NHAI Engineer VS Bhardve, Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. Anju., Executive Engineer Devinder Bajaj, D.S.P. Traffic Gurpreet Singh, Forest Officer Harjinder Singh. DDPO Narinder Singh, XEN Headworks Gurpreet Pal Singh, and other senior officials were present.
