A special assembly was organized by Jasmine House in Police DAV Public School, Patiala on the occasion of International Food Day. Students of classes VI to X took part. Shireen and Simar Sindhi, students of class VII and VI spoke on the importance of this day. They highlighted that the prime objective of this day is to aware the people about the importance of food and eating habits and also about malnutrition amongst people. Good eating habits can make a person fit and energetic. Taking sufficient food is important for one’s well being. Children were told about the deficiencies caused by malnutrition and students were guided not to waste food. A quiz was also held in this regard to mark this day.
Police DAV Public School while observing International Food Day at its premises chool Principal, Meena Thapar applauded the Jasmine house students and their in charges for a good presentation on this day. She motivated students to learn the importance of good eating habits and encourage others also not to waste food and give it to the needy. It will help to spread brotherhood among nations as a whole.
