Women empowerment -Lady Cop arrested a drug carrier

Patiala Police lady Sub Inspector along with STF have arrested a drug carrier with 1.5 Kg heroin from near the Shambhu border in Patiala. The accused have been identified as Kuldip Singh S/o Des Raj resident of RGB 198, Tagore garden in New Delhi.
Addressing mediapersons, superintendent of police investigation Manjit Singh Brar on Thursday, said the accused were on their way from Delhi to deliver the contraband.
Brar said that on specific information SI Geeta Rani along with STF team laid a naka at ghanour chowk in Shambu on Punjab Haryana border. During checking an Ertiga car bearing registration number DL 8 CAU 8916 they recovered the contraband and arrested Kuldip Singh with 1500 gm heroin.
Police registered a FIR at Shambhu Police station under relevant sections under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Kuldip Singh was produced before a local court and has been remanded in four-day police custody. Brar further informed that big surprises are expected during his investigation. We will try to extract information like from where he got the consignment, to whom he is going to deliver it, from him
