Headmistress Dr. Inderjit Kaur Clears Teacher Eligibility Test-2025 in First Attempt

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab, announced the results of the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test-2025 today, April 7, for the exam conducted across the state on March 15.
Dr. Inderjit Kaur, the Head Teacher of Government Smart School, Dana Mandi, Patiala, has brought honor to her department by passing the test in her very first attempt with a score of 120 out of 150 marks.
Having served in the Education Department since 2002, Dr. Kaur completed her primary education at Government Primary School, Dukhniwaran Sahib, and her senior secondary education at B.N. Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Patiala, with first-class honors. She later graduated from Government College for Girls, Patiala, earned a B.Ed. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, in the first division, and achieved a Gold Medal in M.A. History from Government Mohindra College, Patiala.
In addition to passing the UGC (NET) exam in History which qualified her as an Assistant Professor, she holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dr. Kaur has also contributed significantly to the international academic community by writing two research books in English regarding the contribution of Punjabis to the Indian freedom struggle, has published five research papers in national and international journals, and currently has a third book under publication.
It is noteworthy that she appeared for this test in strict adherence to the Education Department’s instructions following the Supreme Court’s mandate for all serving teachers to qualify for the Teacher Eligibility Test.
