In a tough semi finals India beat New Zealand by 70  runs. The credit of today’s victory goes to Virat, Sherays, Shami for their stunning performances.

India made 397 for 4 with the help of Virat and Sheryas’s century and later Shami took 7 wickets of New Zealand, and bowled them for 327 including the key  wicket of Daryl Mitchell.

However, the night belonged to Kohli who assumed his place at the top of one-day international (ODI) greats with his 50th century in the format. The milestone took him past Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI hundreds.

Having won the toss, India started brightly, led by captain Rohit Sharma.

While India had a strong start at the beginning of the match, they struggled a bit during New Zealand’s innings. However, Team India put up an exceptional fight and made their way into the finals.

Tomorrow, on November 16, South Africa will play against Australia for the second semi-final. Whichever team wins will face India for the ICC World Cup final on November 19 in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. If India wins this championship, they will be bringing the trophy back home after 11 years.

Even PM Modi congratulated Indian Team . He posted congratulatory message on his X account (earlier Twritter) “Today’s Semi Final has been even more special thanks to stellar individual performances too. The bowling by @MdShami11 in this game and also through the World Cup will be cherished by cricket lovers for generations to come. Well played Shami!”
