India’s second oldest department at Punjabi University signed MoU with State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur

The Forensic Science Department of Punjabi University has entered into an agreement with the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur (Rajasthan). The agreement was formally signed by the representatives of both institutions in the syndicate room here today. Punjabi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Arvind and Director of State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur Dr. Ajay Sharma signed this agreement.

Prof. Arvind said that the field of forensic science is becoming more and more popular now-a-days. In the field of law, scientific evidence has come to be considered as a reliable basis for identifying crimes. He said that this agreement will be helpful for both institutions. Under this agreement, students of Punjabi University will be able to do research with the help of the equipment and human resources available in the State Science Laboratory Jaipur. Similarly, State Science Laboratory will be able to expand the scope of their work with the help of students and teachers of Punjabi University.

On this occasion Dr. Ajay Sharma said that he is proud to be associated with Punjabi University and especially with the country’s second oldest forensic science department operating here. He said that the State Science Laboratory is contributing in solving various criminal cases. This agreement will increase the capacity of both institutions.

India’s second oldest department at Punjabi University signed MoU with State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur . Head of Forensic Science Department Dr. Mukesh Kumar Thakkar said that after this agreement, students of the department will be able to join the State Science Laboratory as interns for training. They will be able to have direct access to the research going on there. He said that the process of practical implementation of this agreement is also being started immediately.
