One week Workshop on Photography and Videography successfully concludes at Mata Gujri College

A week-long photography and videography workshop for +2 class pass students organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication was successfully concluded at Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib. An eminent journalist and YouTuber Narinder Singh Kaler and Adobe Certified Tutor Vikram Dhiman graced the occasion as chief guests. About 35 students participated in this workshop with great enthusiasm.
Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh appreciated the constructive initiative and stated that students were taught important aspects related to photography and videography in this workshop. He said that in today’s digital and social media era, journalism students in particular need to learn about important technical and ethical aspects of photography and videography.
Vice Principal Dr. Bikramjit Singh informed that during this workshop the students were introduced to the basic process and concepts of photography, videography, photo and video editing to enhance their creative skills and talent.
Narinder Singh Kaler and Vikram Dhiman taught students about various practical, ethical and technical aspects of photography and videography including important information regarding graphic designing, logo designing, poster designing, thumbnail designing, branding, YouTube training etc.
Head of the Journalism department Hargunpreet Singh thanked the college principal, vice principal and guests and said that since the beginning of journalism department in Mata Gujri College since 2006, the students studied from the department have achieved good positions in various reputed media institutions. He said that the students of the department have made excellent achievements in photography and short film contests in zonal, state and national level youth fests and media fests.
One week Workshop on Photography and Videography successfully concludes at Mata Gujri College . Faculty members of Journalism department Dilraj Singh, Bhagwant Singh and Balwinder Singh also guided the students about various topics related to workshop. At the end of the event, the students shared their positive experience and feedback regarding their participation in the workshop. Participants were also awarded with the certificates.
