Independence Day celebrated at Govt Bikram College with Patriotism

Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organized a program on 15th August, 2024. The auspicious Independence Day Program started with flag raising ceremony as a tribute to our mother land. The College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata hoisted the National Flag followed by National Anthem in presence of the college staff and students. Everyone saluting the National Flag created a patriotic ambience on the premises. The speech by the College Principal motivated the students and the staff to respect the freedom which is achieved by sacrificing lives by our freedom fighters.
The NSS Volunteers carried out a peace rally in form of a procession in the area around the college. The N.S.S. Volunteers enthusiastically raised patriotic slogans like Vande-Ma-Taram, Jai Hind and Inqilab Jindabad that created a different atmosphere. The students carried Tri-Color Flags in their hands.
The program ended with Pledge taking ceremony by the staff and the students. The sweets were distributed to the students and everyone present. A total number of 105 members along with the students were present at the occasion.
