Former associate of Tohra, Chandumajra, Navjot Singh Sidhu arrested by Punjab police

As per available information, the CIA staff of Mohali police today arrested Malwinder Singh Mali from Patiala. His brother Ranjit Singh Grewal has informed the media that Malwinder Singh and their elder brother Jatinder Singh were sitting at his residence when Mohali CIA police sleuths came and has taken him in there custody. When they asked the police personnel, they said he is posted something on social media and booked under some IT Act.

Malwinder Singh Mali remained associated with former SGPC president Gurcharan Singh Tohra, now rebel Akali leader Prem Singh Chandumajra and former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Navjot Singh Sidhu.

After his arrest, Dr Dharamvira Gandhi,MP Patiala in a statement issued today, has strongly criticised and condemned the unconstitutional arrest of eminent social activist and political analyst of Punjab, Malvinder Singh Mali on flimsy grounds and declared this act as violation of the fundamental right of freedom of expression enshrined in the constitution.

Patiala MP has warned the Punjab Govt to refrain from such un-democratic and coercive steps and instead focus on the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
