AAP announces 4 candidates for Punjab by-elections

Aam Admi Party (AAP) became the first party to announce all 4 candidates for Punjab by-elections. The by-elections are going be held in four assembly constituencies.
The party has fielded Gurdeep Singh Randhawa from Dera Baba Nanak. Randhawa is the in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party’s Dera Baba Nanak assembly constituency and is also the senior vice chairman of the Industry Board. He was also the party’s candidate from here in the 2022 assembly elections.He had lost 2022 assembly elections from the same constituency and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Congress candidate won the seat.
AAP has fielded Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon from Giderbaha. Former close aide of Sukhbir Singh Badal (SAD leader), Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon was SAD Gidderbaha constituency in-charge before he quit party on August 25,2024. Later he joined AAP.
Harinder Singh Dhaliwal is AAP Barnala candidate. He is a close confidant of Sangrur MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, whose election as MP has led to the Barnala Assembly seat falling vacant.Harinder Dhaliwal has studied engineering from Swami Vivekananda Institute of Engineering and Technology, Banur. He has been with the Aam Aadmi Party since 2012.
Ishaan Chabbewal, son of Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal is the AAP candidate from Chabbewal. This seat also fell vacant after Dr Rajkumar Chabbewal became an MP from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency. Ishaan Chabbewal is a doctor by profession. He has done MBBS and MD from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana.
