Tributes paid to Police martyrs on commemoration day at Rupnagar

Rich tributes were paid to the police martyrs during police commemoration day function held at local police lines at Rupnagar on Monday.
A contingent of Punjab Police reversed their arms and two minute silence was observed in the memory of police martyrs. Wreaths were also laid on the martyrs’ memorial.
In his address Rupnagar senior superintendent of police(SSP) Gulneet Singh Khurana highlighted the importance of the day and recalled the sacrifices of the martyrs of police and para military forces ,who had made supreme sacrifice for call of their duty.
He said that Punjab Police were committed to provide every help to the families of martyrs.
Rupnagar deputy commissioner Himanshu Jain and District and Sessions judge Rupnagar Ramesh Kumari also paid tributes to police martyrs on the occasion. Family members of police martyrs of Rupnagar district were also honoured on the occasion.
