GoI releases updated list of secretaries; now no Punjab IAS posted as secretary in Union government

Government of India has released the updated list of secretaries of GoI.
Now, no Punjab cadre IAS is posted as secretary of any department. The lone secretary Vini Mahajan had retired on October 31,2024. She was secretary in the ministry of Jal Shakti, D/o Drinking Water & Sanitation.
Earlier, Punjab’s IAS officer who was on central deputation, Anjali Bhawra, retired on June 30, 2024. She was Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs. Another IAS officer VK Singh of 1990 batch, who was Secretary in Department of Ex Servicemen Welfare in Ministry of Defence in Government of India, had joined his parent state Punjab in Jan 2024.
Presently, Seema Jain, IAS is presently Member Finance for the Space Commission. The post is equivalent to secretary level.
GoI releases updated list of secretaries; now no Punjab IAS posted as secretary in Union government .Though senior Punjab cadre IAS officer Anurag Agarwal of 1990 batch has been empanelled by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for holding Secretary Eq. level posts at the Centre but he has not been given the charge of secretary of any department. Recently he is promoted as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of External Affairs.
Rakesh Kumar Verma (IAS) is another officer who is on central deputation. He is Additional Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
Sirra Karuna Raju, IAS of 1998 batch is also on deputation and is a Chief Vigilance Officer, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, Visakhapatnam
Ajoy Sharma, lAS (PB:1999), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Rajat Agarwal, lAS (PB:2003), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Bhawna Garg is already on central deputation and is presently working as Deputy Director General (DDG) (JS level), UIDAI, Regional Office, Chandigarh have been empanelled as Additional Secretary or equivalent.
