 ADGP suspension revoked within four months

Punjab government has revoked the suspension orders of ADGP, SPS Parmar, IPS

Earlier Punjab government had extended the suspension period of ADGP, SPS Parmar, IPS officer of 1997 batch for 4 months (from April to August 2025).

Parmar was placed under suspension with immediate effect under Rule 3(1)(a) of the All India services (Discipline & Appear) Rules, 1969 vide order No. 02 / 15 / 2O25-2HI/824-831, dated April 25,2025.

On April 25,2025 , the Punjab government had suspended than Punjab Vigilance Bureau chief SPS Parmar, IPS and Assistant Inspector General, VB, SAS Nagar, Swarandeep Singh,PPS and Senior Superintendent of Police, VB, Jalandhar, Harpreet Singh Mander , PPS in connection with an alleged driving licence scam.

Both and Assistant Inspector General, VB, SAS Nagar, Swarandeep Singh,PPS and Senior Superintendent of Police, VB, Jalandhar, Harpreet Singh Mander , PPS were already reinstated without any break in their service.
