All India power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) has written a letter to chief secretary Jammu and Kashmir today seeking his immediate intervention intervene  so that genuine issues of J&K Power Engineers are resolved and they are not forced to proceed on mass casual leave tomorrow  on 09th September, said Shailendra Dubey Chairman.

In case they are forced to resort to one day mass casual leave, AIPEF fully supports the J and K electrical engineers demand . Their long pending  demands includes  regularisation of service, regular promotions and regular recruitments, non -fulfilment of which is jeopardising the normal working and having adverse impact on day to day working of Power Development Department of J&K.

It may be mentioned that since no positive and fruitful step has been taken by J&K Government , the Power Engineers of Jammu and Kashmir have no option except to resort to one day protest on 09th September by way of resorting mass casual leave throughout the Union Territory. All other Unions of Power Development Department have also extended their support to peacefully agitating JK EEGA.

The recruitment   has been put on hold for the last 7 years and Transmission Corporation is  headless from almost one year now. At present  there are two posts of Managing Director, three posts of Executive Director, five Chief Engineers, 14 Superintending Engineers, 61 Executive Engineers, 132 Assistant Ex- Engineers, 164 Assistant Engineers and around 350 Junior Engineers which are vacant leading to situation where every other person is having minimum two or three charge in the corporations of PDD, said Sachin Tickoo President  JKEEGA, said on Friday.
