Now, CM to order Punjab State Power Corporation Limited’s Gazetted,NGO’s transfers, postings

Today, the chief engineer HRD of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) office order gave power shock to the powercom employees. The officer has issued an official diktat about the transfer, postings of gazetted, non gazetted officials (NGOs) staff is to be done by chief minister, Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann.

As per chief engineer HRD, PSPCL orders, now to fill the vacant seats of gazetted, non gazetted staff, ministerial staff in distribution offices of Khanna, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar offices of PSPCL, the orders will be issued after the approval from the chief minister.

As per sources the management of the powercom and state government has taken this decision after the industrialists complains about the shortage of staff in industrial towns of Khanna, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar. To sort out this issue on priority, the state government and the management has taken this decision.

Now, CM to order Punjab State Power Corporation Limited’s Gazetted, NGO’s transfers, postings. An officer on the condition of anonymity said ” the management wants to break the nexus between the power thief’s, defaulters and the staff posted at these distribution circles. As these officials remained posted at these industrial circles for a longer period. They use local political influence for getting plum postings in these industrial circles, causing loses  to the powercom.”

Earlier, the CMD of Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) Baldev Singh Sran had also requested the chief minister to curtail the political interference in the postings, transfers of the staff.

When contacted Devinder Singh, general secretary of PSPCL JE Council, he said “the powercom management has taken an anti employees decision. As we have received this order, a short while ago, the JE council will oppose this decision and gave our representation to the management. Powercom has already a transfer policy and this will be against that policy. All NGOs (non gazetted officials) are common employees and the management is going to harass us. Why engineers are left behind, excluded from this office orders?”

When contacted the chief engineer commercial HS Gill, who is holding the charge of chief engineer HRD to know the reasons, he said “ i am chief engineer commercial and please contact chief engineer HRD”. When asked that you are holding the post and has signed the orders, he said “I signed it as a routine letter and don’t know about the content of the letter. To know more about this order please contact the IPRO.”
