AKAM Celebrations: Block Level Health Mela to be held from April 19, DC Nayyar

On the directions of Punjab government and Deputy Commissioner Barnala Harish Nayyar, block level health fairs are being organized in Barnala district from April 21 and April 22 as a part of ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM).
Giving further information Civil Surgeon Dr Jasbir Singh Aulakh stated that on April 21 block Mehal Kalan’s health fair will be held at village Diwana and block Tapa’s health fair will be held at village Sehna. On April 22 the health fair of Dhanaula block will be held at village Kaleke.
Harish Nayyar DCDr Aulakh said that various experts will examine patients during these health check-up fairs. He added that besides examining patients, they shall be given free medicines and also exhibition stalls will be put up on display by various departments.
He added that the main motive of these fairs was to give health related facilities to people nearer home.
