Bhagwant Mann government gives importance to Media feedback for Rangla Punjab- Aman Arora

The Minister of Information and Public Relations Department of Punjab Aman Arora has today insisted that the media should play its role unbiased and impartial in the creation of a healthy society.

Aman Arora was here today at the 10th Annual Journalism Conference as the Chief Guest, which was organised under the leadership of Jagjit Singh Dardi, Chairman of Chardikla media group in memory of Chardikla Time TV Founder Director Late Satbir Singh Dardi.

Aman Arora said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is taking the issue raised by the media to create Rangala Punjab seriously and he has always welcomed the media’s feedback.

Referring to the ‘godi media’ which has been in vogue for the past decade, Aman Arora said that in this era, the media also needs to introspection look so that the faith of the people in the fourth pillar of democracy can be restored.

Aman Arora termed it a big challenge for the established media that everyone has now become a journalist due to the revolution of mobile and information technology. Minister said that such media without control or an editorial board can do a lot of damage to society.

He said that politics, society, government and media are complementary to each other, so we should make such efforts together so that mutual trust is maintained between all these parties.

On this occasion, Chardikla Time TV group Chairman Jagjit Singh Dardi welcomed Aman Arora and other dignitaries, he discussed the purpose of the group and today’s conference. During the conference, challenges to journalism in the current era of social media were discussed.

Dr Ratan Singh Jaggi, the family of Dr Sarup Singh Alag and other dignitaries were honoured during the function.
