BJP announces first candidate from Pb, its senior leader to contest from Amritsar

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) announces Hardeep Singh Puri as its first candidate to contest from Amritsar in Punjab. It announces Puri’s candidature along with other 6 candidates. Puri is a Union Cabinet Minister in Narinder Modi’s led BJP govt.BJP has three seats in a SAD-BJP coalition. Congress has already announced its all 13 candidates, SAD has already announced its all 10 candidates. Now only Gurdaspur and Hoshairpur under BJP’s quota were left.
Amritsar Lok sabha Constituency comprises of Nine assembly constituencies- Ajnala, Majithia, Amritsar-North, Amritsar-west, Amritsar-Central, Amritsar-east, Amritsar-South, Attari ,Verka.
Hardeep Singh Puri (born 15 February 1952 in Delhi) is the current Union Minister of State with Independent Charge in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in India. He is a 1974 batch Indian Foreign Service officer who served as the Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013
BJP also announces Dr Harshwardhan as Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat candidate, Manoj tiwari as North east Delhi, Pravesh Sharma as west Delhi and ramesh bidhuri as South Delhi Candidate.
