BJP organises discussion on union budget at Rupnagar

Bharatiya Janata Party, District Rupnagar on Tuesday organised discussion on the budget presented by the Modi government.
Former Minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood was specially present on the occasion. Prominent businessmen of Rupnagar also participated in the discussion on the occasion. Addressing the media and traders.
Tikshan Sood said that this amrit kaal 2023-24 is the first general budget for public welfare. He said that this budget is a memorable budget for the development of villages, poor, farmers, tribals, tribals, Dalits, disabled, economically backward classes etc. He said that the seven priorities of the Budget are ‘Saptarishi’, which include inclusive development, last mile connectivity, infrastructure and investment, expansion of internal capabilities, green development, youth power and financial sector.
He said that for the first time since the formation of the Modi government in the country, people have heard the name of Kisan Samman Nidhi. Now the government has made provisions in the budget on a large scale to promote agriculture.
BJP Rupnagar District President Ajayvir Singh Lalpura said that the government is going to encourage one crore farmers to take up natural farming which is the most important thing while a provision of Rs 600 crore has been made in the budget to promote farming through technology. Under the Digital Agriculture Mission, the amount earmarked last year has been increased from Rs 70 crore to Rs 450 crore. A focused solution objective is being developed for startups to promote the agritech industry. Computerization of 63000 primary credit societies was initiated with an investment of Rs. 2516 crore. Most importantly, under the All India National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, direct benefit transfer will be started to provide professional support to 47 lakh youth in three years.
Tikshan Sood said that 86% of small farmers in the country are small farmers, for this, a provision of Rs 23 thousand crore has been made in the budget to ensure that they can get the benefits through farmer loans. The government has earmarked Rs 459 crore for setting up 10,000 bio-input resource centres to build a network of production of fertilizers and pesticides. He said that the government’s decision to promote agriculture would benefit lakhs of farmers in the district. 500 waste generation plants will be set up with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore.
“Our aim is not to do politics of statistics but to present what is true first,” he said, adding that the per capita income has doubled to Rs 1.97 lakh in about nine years, while the size of the Indian economy has grown and it has become the fifth largest economy with the 10th largest economy in the world in the last nine years.
Similarly, the number of members in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization has more than doubled to 27 crore. At the same time, 7,400 crore digital payments worth Rs 126 lakh crore have been made through UPI. Under the most important Mission Swachh Bharat, toilets have been built in 11.7 crore homes. At the same time, 9.6 crore LPG connections were given under the Ujjwala scheme. Targeting 102 crore people, the covid vaccination figure has crossed 220 crore, while 47.8 crore Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Bank accounts have been opened. Insurance coverage was provided to 44.6 crore people under PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and PM Jeevan Jyoti Yojana under insurance schemes and cash transfer of Rs 2.2 lakh crore was made to 11.4 crore farmers under PM Samman Kisan Nidhi.
Expanding medical education, the government will open 157 new nursing colleges, while 38,000 teachers and support staff will be appointed in schools. In order to realize the dream of the poor who want to have a house of their own, the expenditure for pm awas yojana has been increased by 66 percent to Rs 79,000 crore. The provision of capital fund of Rs 2.40 lakh crore for railways, which is nine times more than the amount made available in 2013-14 and the highest amount so far. Thus, the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF) will be set up through utilization of i-loan reduction in priority areas. With an aim to give a boost to the circular economy, 500 new ‘Waste to Wealth’ plants will be set up with a total investment of Rs 10,000 thousand crore under a scheme called Gobardhan (Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Money). A compressed biogas order of 5 per cent will also be introduced for all organisations marketing natural and biogas.
Tikshan Sood and Sardar Ajayvir Singh Lalpura said that Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 will be launched to skill lakhs of youth in the next three years and will include artificial intelligence, robotics, mechatronics, IoT, 3D printing, drones and soft skills related to Industry 4.0 for the new generation. Along with this, 30 Skill India International Centers will be set up to provide international opportunities to the skilled youth of different states.
District President Lalpura said that a new sub-scheme of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana will be launched with a targeted investment of Rs 6,000 crore, which aims to make fish producers, fish vendors and micro and small industries more capable.
