Capt Amarinder’s close associate joins AAP in Punjab; earlier son booked for hunting wild animals in Punjab

Mai Roop Kaur Bagrian, a congress leader from Amargarh in Malerkotla district and close aide of Capt Amarinder Singh, former chief minister of Punjab and senior BJP leader had joined aam aadmi party (AAP) aling with her entire family in the presence of Harpal Singh Cheema and Fatehgarh sahib AAP candidate Gurpreet singh GP
Today, many other Congress office bearers of Sangrur and many Sarpanchs of Amargarh and Fatehgarh Sahib constituencies, along with their all panchayat members, joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
She had even contested elections from Dhuri 2007 on Congress ticket but lost the elections to Iqbal Singh Jhundan by around 3000 votes.
Capt Amarinder’s close associate joins AAP in Punjab; earlier son booked for hunting wild animals in Punjab. She even remained Sangrur district president of Congress. Capt Amarinder Singh had made her Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) member in his tenure.
Her son along with three others were arrested by officials of the Punjab Forest and Wildlife Department in January 2023 for allegedly hunting wild animals in the state’s Anandpur Sahib district.
Earlier also Simarjit Singh Sehke (Vice Chairman Punjab Pradesh Congress Kisan and Mazdoor Cell, Punjab) along with many other Congress grassroot level workers, leaders had joined AAP under her command.
Amaragarh assembly constituency is a part of Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituency.
