Debate competition on Immigration organised at World University

Various competitions are being organised at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib with an impetus at Khalsai activities in the University. Under the supervision of the Dean Students’ Welfare, a debate competition on the issue of immigration was held among the students of different departments, in which seventeen teams from different departments participated.Two contestants in each team presented their views in favor of as well as against migration.
The debate competition committee in which Dr. Palvinder Kaur, Department of Religious Studies, Dr. Jasveer Kaur, Department of Punjabi and Ms. Navjot Kaur, Department of Education, inspired the students to express their views on the issue. Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, Head, Religious Studies Department, Dr. Sumanpreet Kaur, Education Department, Biba Narinder Kaur, Public Administration Department judged the participants.
Dr. Pritpal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University and Dr. Sikandar Singh, Dean Students’ Welfare were the honoured guests of the event. They also deliberated upon the problems and challenges of migration.
