Dr. Bikramjit Singh assumes charge as Principal of Mata Gujri College

Under the directions of Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Dr. Bikramjit Singh has taken charge as the Principal of Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib.
He was formally handed over the responsibilities in the presence of Education Secretary Er Sukhminder Singh, former Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh, and other staff members of the college.
Congratulating him on his new role, Sukhminder Singh stated that Dr. Bikramjit Singh was selected for the position based on his excellent service record, vast experience, and seniority. Former Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh also extended his best wishes, noting that Dr. Bikramjit Singh has made significant contributions to the field of education over the past 33 years through his dedication, competence, and effective leadership. He expressed confidence that the college would reach new heights under his guidance.
Dr. Bikramjit Singh began his career in August 1993 as a lecturer in the Commerce Department. Over his long and distinguished tenure, he has served in several key positions, including Head of the Commerce Department, Dean Academics, Dean Sports, Controller of Examinations, Admission Coordinator, Public Relations Officer, NCC Officer, and Vice Principal.

In addition to his academic contributions, he has played an active role in the Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers’ Union, contributing significantly to addressing teachers’ issues. He is also an internationally rated chess player and has served as President and Secretary of the Punjab State Chess Association.
On this occasion, Dr. Bikramjit Singh expressed his gratitude to SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, Education Secretary Sukhminder Singh, and the college governing body for placing their trust in him. He said he feels honored to serve as Principal of such a prestigious institution located on the sacred land of Fatehgarh Sahib. He expressed confidence that, with the support of the management, staff, and students—past and present—the college will achieve new milestones. He also thanked well-wishers for their congratulatory messages and good wishes shared via social media.
