Elite Club Patiala celebrated Pongal with enthusiasm, for the first time. Members actively participated with great zeal.
Ladies were beautifully dressed up in Royal blue, red border sarees. They all did traditional dance Aatta Karagam and Sakthi Karagam with the help of Natraj Kala Kendra, their head Anju Miglani and girls, Parnika, Rashi dhinngra, Rhythm gaur, Ananya bhasin, Aastha shah, Yashita Sachdev,Jessica Bajaj, Rashi Dhingra. Elite Club President Gunpreet Kahlon Kohli (Shelly Kohli) and members of the club Juhi Chawla, Rakhi Khurana, Raman Kohli , Monika Bansal, Meghna Chopra, Meet, Mamta, Renu, Sukhwinder actively put in efforts and the experiences were incredible.
The rehearsal took several weeks, decoration was done along with traditional Rangoli and Pookolams. After the performance, Pongal food was served along with Chakkara Pongal in Banana leaf with coconut water.
Since it was Tamil Nadu’s festival, we at Elite Club wanted people to know that we live in India and we must celebrate all the festivals across India and make people aware of it. Plenty of games were played too like Escape Maattu Pongal. May the spirit of PONGAL remains everywhere whatever you do, whatever you think whatever you hope in your life !
