‘Experts Talks’ on Nobel Prizes in Punjabi University

Punjabi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Arvind advised the students to connect with other subjects also along with their own subjects.

During the “Experts Talks” on the Nobel Prizes here today, Professor Arvind said that the knowledge of the students remains limited due to only being attached to the their own subjects of studies. He said that every student should have knowledge of his own as well as other subjects also. With the all-round development, a student can contribute in other areas also.

It is worth noting that “Experts Talks” initiative on the Nobel Prizes and the personalities who received it was started in the year 2023 under the guidance of Professor Arvind. Underlining the importance of this Talk, Professor Arvind said that main object of this programme is to educate and connect the students with renowned researchers happening around the world besides, to develop the thinking of students in the wider prospects. Which can produce better results in their respective fields. In the “Experts Talks” programme, Prof. R. K. Goyal,  Department of Pharmaceutical and Drug Science, Punjabi University gave a presentation on the Nobel Prize in Medicine ; Prof. Swaraj Raj, Head and Dean of the Language Faculty of Sri Guru Granth Sahib University on Literature ; Dr. Karamjit Singh, on Physics ; Professor Harpreet Kaur on Chemistry and Professor Anupama on Economics.

Earlier, Dean Academics Dr. Ashok Tiwari gave information about the Nobel Awards in the starting of the programme. At the end of the event Associate Dean Research Dr. Mukesh Thakkar presented the vote of thanks. Faculty members and students of various departments were present on this occasion. Meanwhile, a question and answer session was also held.
