Five Days National E- Workshop on Research Methodology concluded  at  Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda on Saturday.

Experts stressed upon the need for Imbibing Ethical Orientation to Research during the workshop.  More than 100 participants, including faculty, research scholars from renowned institutes from all over the country participated in the workshop organized by University Business School.

MRSPTU Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar

Prof. A. S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor, RIMT University expressed his expository views on ethics in research and stressed over improving quality of research for benefit of society.

Globally renowned academician Dr. Amandeep Dhir, LUT School of Business, Finland emphasized on collaborative research and discussed various global opportunities available for researchers.

Dr. Pritpal Singh Bhullar, Coordinator, of e-workshop briefed about the missions and objectives of conducting this e-workshop that focused on various research issues like application of various statistical tool in data analysis, anti-plagiarism in research, various research fundings and grants available for faculty and research scholars.

Prof Sanjeev Sharma, UIAMS, Panjab University moderated all the sessions.

In his presidential remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar expressed his keen desire and commitment to make MRSPTU a research-oriented university. He appreciated the efforts of conducting a free five day e-workshop during the tough times, which shows that the university is academically vibrant.

While delivering valedictory address, MRSPTU, Dean Research and Development, Prof. Jasbir Singh Hundal emphasized on creating research culture in the universities. He also expressed his deep concern about decrease in research funding by the government.

The COVID-19 pandemic has once again highlighted the importance of research funding in science and technology.

MRSPTU, Dean, Academic Affairs, Prof. Savina Bansal motivated the participants to excel in research as it forms the basis of human growth and progression. She emphasized to remain focus on societal relevance and indefatigable zeal to excel.

MRSPTU, Registrar Prof. Jatinder Kaur and Controller of Examination, Prof. Karanvir Singh exhorted the efforts of the organizers for organizing such an informative workshop for faculty and students and making best use of time during this period of academic disruption due to lockdown.
