GDC Ganderbal retains 5-A side Inter-College Women’s hockey title

Government Degree College Ganderbal emerged champions of the 5-A Side Inter-College Women’s Hockey Tournament for the second consecutive year, defeating Post Graduate (PG) Kashmir University in a thrilling final match at University of Kashmir on Thursday.
On their way to the title clash, GDC Ganderbal registered convincing victories over Women’s College Nawakadal and Government College of Physical Education, Gadoora.
In the final, GDC Ganderbal showcased remarkable grit and teamwork. Bisma netted two goals, while Shaista and Night scored one each, sealing a close 4–3 win against PG Kashmir University.
Prof Fouzia Fatima, principal of GDC Ganderbal congratulated the team and commended the efforts of the players and mentors, terming the victory a result of discipline and commitment. She expressed hope that the college team will continue to bring laurels in future competitions.
With this triumph, GDC Ganderbal successfully defended their title and reaffirmed their dominance in the tournament.
