Golden day for contractual, unskilled employees; sand prices fixed; resignation accepted-CM

Punjab government has announced that the state government is going to regularize the 36000 contractual employees. The department wise detail of the same will be tabled in the upcoming vidhan sabha session.
The govt has also increased the DC rates of unskilled, semi skilled, skilled etc employees working in outsource, factories, commercial establishments by around Rs 416/- per month. They will also get the arrear from 1-1-2020.
Likewise the state govt has also announced the reduction of sand prices from Rs 9 per cubic feet to Rs 5.50 per cubic feet from the river bed and will also bring in the new policy, applicable from next fiscal year . The said price includes the loading charges at mining site.
CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu shared the stage during press briefing after today’s Cabinet meeting.
CM Channi said the resignation of AG APS Deol has been accepted.
