“Good Morning Sanjay, This is ED”-law enforcement agency raided Aam Aadmi Party MP residence

Raids are underway by the law enforcement agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh’s residence in Delhi, since morning. The raids are said to be in connection with the liquor policy scam.
The staff members of the Rajya Sabha member from Aam Aadmi Party and those linked to him were earlier questioned by the ED in this case. As per available information, ED raid come a day after AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s close aide Dinesh Arora and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP Magunta Reddy’s son Raghav Manguta turned approver in the money laundering case pertaining to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
Earlier in May this year, MP Sanjay Singh in a letter to Finance Secretary T V Somanathan said that the ED Director and Assistant Director deliberately linked his name to the alleged liquor scam without any basis, tarnishing his public image and defaming him.
ED is reportedly searching the residence of Sanjay Singh, further details are awaited.
