Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala felicitated the achievers on its annual day

Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala celebrated its Annual Prize Distribution Function on 2nd May 2023, under the guidance of College principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata. The occasion was graced by Gautam Jain (I.A.S) Chief Administrator, Patiala Development Authority cum Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban) Patiala as the Chief Guest and Dr. Parminder Singh, Principal, State College of Education, Patiala as the Guest of Honor.
The program commenced with lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the Chief Guest followed by the college dhuni. Dr Vaneeta Rani welcomed the Chief Guest and presented the inaugural address and highlighted that the college is committed to inculcate the virtues of human life in students through various activities organized in the college.
The College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata presented the Annual Report bringing forth the progress of the college throughout the year. She in her address congratulated all the proud scholars for excellence in academics and co curricular activities.
A Prize distribution ceremony was conducted to felicitate and recognize the talent of the students in various fields like Academics, Cultural, Sports and NSS etc. The students received 07 Roll of Honors, 14 College Color, 65 Merit Certificates and more than 70 Appreciation certificates. The Award of Honor was also presented to honor the contributions made by the persons from the society. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and encouraged the students by his enlightening words. He advised the students to “Never Give Up” and the success will surely come to them. He congratulated the Principal for her efforts and dedication towards the institution.
The day was also chosen for the release of College Prospectus for the upcoming Session 2023-24. The Principal, Guests and the staff released the College Prospectus. The Guest of Honor Dr. Parminder Singh had all appreciation for the College Principal and the staff for taking this institution to the road of success. He suggested the students to make the most of their commerce education in this era of globalization.
Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala felicitated the achievers on its annual day . The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Coordinator of the Program Prof. Ram Kumar. He acknowledged the efforts of the Staff, Students and the Supporting staff and thanked the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence. The Program ended with the National Anthem as a tribute to the Nation. The others present on this occasion were Dr. R.K. Sharma, Dr. Tarsem Kumar Bansal, H.L. Bansal, Ratan Gupta, Pawan Kumar Narula, Umesh Kumar Ghai (Alumni Members), Manik Raj Singla, Yogeshwar Singh, Kuldeep Singh (Head Teacher Ucha Gaon), Kanwar inder Singh (Senior Vice President PTA) and many more to grace this occasion.
