Governor greets people on At Home, at Punjab Raj Bhavan
The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, V.P. Singh Badnore was ‘At Home’ with distinguished citizens of Punjab and Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhavan.
The invitees from different walks of life started converging at Punjab Raj Bhavan before the start of the ceremony to greet the Governor. The pathway of Punjab Raj Bhavan was tastefully decorated to receive the distinguished guests. The ‘At Home’ function began as the Punjab police band played the National Anthem.

Balamurugan, Secretary to Governor, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Leader of Opposition, Kanwar Sandhu MLA Kharar, Sanjay Tandon, President BJP Chandigarh, Davesh Moudgil, Mayor, Chandigarh, Arun Sood, Raja Bala Malik, Poonam Sharma (former Mayors of Chandigarh), former MP. Satya Pal Jain, former Goc-in-C, Western Command, Lt. Gen. K.J Singh, Parimal Rai, Adviser to Administrator, Nirmaljit Singh Kalsi, Additional Chief Secretary, M.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary,Mr. G. Vajralingam, Addl. Chief Secretary, Tejveer Singh Principal Secretary to CM Punjab, T.S. Luthra, DIG, Rashpal Malhotra, Vice Chairman, GRRID, besides many senior officers from Punjab and Chandigarh were there to greet the Governor.
Senior defence, civil and police officers of Punjab and Chandigarh Administration remained there till the end of the function. Vice Chancellors of various Universities of Punjab and Chandigarh were also present.
The Punjab Governor, V.P. Singh Badnore intermingled with the august gathering. He interacted with the elderly people, serving and retired army officers on this special day. The Governor said that the nation was proud of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters in the freedom struggle.
Progressive farmers, educationists, intellectuals and social activists from different parts of the State especially came to greet His Excellency on this auspicious occasion.
