Govt Bikram College amongst top 150 Indian colleges as per NIRF’s Rankings 2024

Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala continues its upward flight in the field of Higher Education as reflected in the latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)2024 results released by Union Education Ministry, Govt. of India.

The College has distinguished itself by securing a position in the 101 to 150 rank band nationally.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is an annual ranking of the top educational institutions in India. NIRF evaluates institutions based on a set of standardized criteria including teaching, teaching outcomes, professional practices, outreach and inclusivity.

The College principal speaking on this achievement said that this achievement illustrates the institution’s pursuit of intellectual and brilliance and its desire to cultivate an environment where the overall development of the students’ is achieved. These rankings highlight the hard work and dedication of the principal, staff andthe students. She also   congratulated   the staff esp, Gazal Aggarwal (NIRF Incharge ) and students on this occasion.

Govt Bikram College amongst top 150 Indian colleges as per NIRF’s Rankings 2024. It is also noteworthy to mention here that Govt Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala is one of the three institutions in Punjab that could make place in this ranking band. The other two institutions are from Chandigarh.

About NIRF

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015.

This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”.
