IIT Ropar and DAV University, Jalandhar sign strategic MoU to strengthen academic and research collaboration

Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) and DAV University, Jalandhar entered into a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 5, 2026, aimed at fostering institutional collaboration in academics and research. The agreement marks a significant milestone in promoting interaction between faculty, staff, and students of both prestigious institutions through joint programmes, research projects, and resource sharing.
The MoU was inked by Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar and Prof. Manor Kumar, Vice Chancellor, DAV University in presence of officials from both the side. The MoU encompasses a comprehensive framework for collaboration across multiple dimensions. Key areas include joint research projects with co-authored publications, joint research guidance for PhD, postgraduate, and undergraduate students, and joint organization of academic activities such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and faculty development programmes. Both institutions will also facilitate internships, certification courses, and other short-term academic enhancement programmes for students.
The partnership will enable mutual utilization of facilities, including instrumentation centers and e-resources, on a collaborative basis.
