IIT Ropar AWaDH Collaborates with IILM University to Launch its 12th Cyber-Physical System CPS Lab

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar’s Agriculture and Water Development Hub (AWaDH) initiative has proudly inaugurated its 12th Cyber-Physical System (CPS) Lab at IILM University, Knowledge Park, Greater Noida. The event marks a significant milestone in the collaborative effort to advance cutting-edge research and innovation in the field of computer science and engineering.
The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the initiation of a journey towards innovation and excellence. The inauguration ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Taruna Gautam, Vice-Chancellor of IILM University, followed by introductory remarks from Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Tiwari, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University.
A major highlight of the event was a detailed presentation by Dr. Radhika Trikha, CEO of IIT Ropar TIF AWaDH, where she provided a glimpse of the pioneering AWaDH CPS Lab initiative. The ceremony continued with a Felicitation Ceremony to honor individuals who have contributed to the success of this collaboration.
The AWaDH CPS Lab at KCET is equipped with advanced IoT kits developed by IIT Ropar, offering a 24/7 plug-and-play module for hands-on experimentation. The facility also features cutting-edge resources, including:
- Voltera V-One circuit prototyping machines.
- Gateway, BLE Development Kit, and BLE Node.
- Low Power Camera Module.
- Air Sense and Weather Pro environmental monitoring tools.
- AI & ML workstations provided by Terafac Technologies Pvt Ltd.
- Various sensors for environmental activities.
The formal proceedings concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Lalit Kumar, Head & Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Applications, School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University. The day’s events culminated in the highly anticipated inauguration of the AWaDH CPS Lab and a guided tour of the state-of-the-art facility.
Following the inauguration, the Project Manager, Desh Raj,along with the technical team, provided a guided tour of the lab, showcasing its cutting-edge facilities. The lab will play a pivotal role in joint training initiatives such as ‘train the trainers’ and ‘train the students’ modules, offering both theoretical and practical insights into CPS technologies.
This state-of-the-art lab is set to integrate CPS into the curriculum at KCET, promoting a culture of innovation and technical excellence in the Amritsar region. It will serve as a hub for skill development, offering training programs tailored to empower graduates, researchers, faculty, and startups.
