NIS announces Free Summer Camp for children aged 8–18; registration open on first-come, first-served basis

The Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports is set to organize Summer Camp 2026 for school students from 01 June to 30 June 2026 at NIS Patiala during the summer vacation period. The month-long camp is being organized with the objective of promoting physical fitness, sports participation, discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits among children through professional coaching and structured sports activities under expert supervision.
Coaching and training facilities will be provided in Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Fencing, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Lawn Tennis, Weightlifting, and Wushu. Boys and girls in the age group of 08 to 18 years (as on 01.06.2026) are eligible to participate. A total of 250 seats are available in different sports disciplines, and admissions will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
The registration process will be conducted from 25 May to 27 May 2026, while ID cards will be distributed from 28 May to 29 May 2026. The camp will commence on 01 June 2026.The camp timings will be Morning Session: 06:00 AM to 08:00 AM and Evening Session: 05:00 PM to 06:00 PM.

Interested participants are required to submit the registration form along with the following documents:
- Passport-size photographs
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- ID Proof (AadhaarCard)
The Summer Camp 2026 will be conducted completely free of cost. In addition, Yoga classes will also be organized free of cost for parents and guardians accompanying the participants during the camp period.
