Lions Club members attend meet your doctors program

As many as 50 members of Lions Club, Mohali attended a ‘meet your doctors’ program at Shalby Hospital here today.
Addressing members, Dr Kapil Dev Dumra, cardiologist at Shalby said that aged people are especially vulnerable during winter. Thus it’s important to understand the effects of severe cold weather on body, and the risks for heart health.

Talking about how to stay safe and warm, he said that keep home warm and stay indoors as much as you can when it’s severe cold condition outside. Stay active indoors and move regularly to help keep you warm. Keep taking regular hot meals and drinks to give your body the energy it needs to keep you warm. Wrap up warm in layers of clothing. Wearing a few thin layers can help keep you warmer than one thick layer.
During occasion Dr. Ruchika and Dr. Akash both from medicine, Dr Ajay Panwar from neuro intervention and stroke specialist, Dr Dr. Muninder Singh Randhawa, urologist, Dr Aditya Banta, spine surgeon and Dr Rohit Bansal general surgeon spoke about the recent development in their respective medical fields.
Among others, Dr SS Gill, clinical head, Satpal Singh Gambhir and Brijesh Bisht , DGM of Shalby and Jaswinder Singh and J P Sahdev the president and secretary of Lions Cub respectively were also presented during occasion.
