Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Monday, campaigned for the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok sabha candidate Malvinder Singh Kang. Mann took out a road show where thousands of people gathered .

Addressing the gathering in Rupnagar, Mann said that Sri Anandpur Sahib is our historic land. Our Khalsa panth was founded here and our gurus fought many wars here and won. Today we are fighting to save our democracy and constitution. We have the support of you people, it is our strength and our biggest weapon. He said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji sent his father to Delhi as ‘Hind di Chaddar’ and helped a religion which was in danger. Today our freedom and right to vote is in danger. Send 13 pro-people and pro-Punjab voices to the parliament.

Mann said that the BJP does the politics of hatred and polarisation, they want to divide people on the basis of religion and castes, they are dictators who want a single party in India. But, we are the people who pray for ‘sarbat da bhala’, we guard everyone’s rights. Punjab is also known for its communal harmony and brotherhood, we celebrate our Gurpurabs, Eids and Navamis together, so we are going to defeat these people who are trying to divide people and create communal rifts.

Mann said that the BJP thinks that by arresting Arvind Kejriwal, they will finish the Aam Aadmi Party, but Arvind Kejriwal is not just a one person, he is an idea, a thinking, they (BJP) won’t be able to stop the thinking of Arvind Kejriwal. Mann said that the Aam Aadmi Party does the politics of work. We don’t do politics of religion, hatred or divide.

Mann also recounted the achievements of his government in two years and said that before the AAP government only 21% of canal water used to go to the fields, right now 59% of the canal water is going to the fields of Punjab for irrigation. In October, 70% of the canal water will be used for irrigation. Mann said that around six lakh tubewell in Punjab will be stopped as the farmers will get canal water. It will save ground water and 6-7000 crores of rupees of electricity. That money will be used to fulfill the last guarantee of the AAP government that is Rs 1000 per month to women.

The people of Punjab are once again ready to give a historic mandate to AAP. This lok sabha the Aam Aadmi Party will register a 13-0 victory in Punjab. He said that he is fighting for the rights of Punjab, but he’s alone, he’s fighting against the BJP, against the centre government and governor, he needs the support of the people, so give him 13 more arms in the parliament so that they can strongly raise their voice for Punjab. He said look at the condition of opposition parties in Punjab in just two years, no one is even ready to fight elections on their tickets.
