Midnight political explosion in Punjab

A midnight political explosion took place Punjab, when Charanjit Singh Channi led Congress government registered a case against stalwart Akali leader, brother-in-law of shiromani akali dal supremo Sukhbir Badal and former minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia . The case has been registered by the Bureau of Investigation (BOI) at the State Crime Police Station in Mohali. There were constant allegations against Majithia regarding the drugs case. This case has been registered under section 25/27A/29 of NDPS Act.
Seeing the silence of the government, it seems that Majithia can be arrested at any time. At present the police is not saying anything in this matter. Even the FIR registered against Majithia is not being made public.
As per political pundits, the state government has booked the Majithia under the command of officiating DGP S. Chattopadhya , as today might be his last working day . Today UPSC is going to announce the three member panel of the DGP’s and Chattopadhaya may miss the bus, if the commission considers October 5 as cutoff date.
Navjot Singh Sidhu tweeted that “An FIR has been registered in Punjab Police Crime Branch against the main culprits of Drug Trade on basis of February 2018 STF report, wherein i demanded this 4 years ago – It is a slap on the face of all those powerful who slept for years on issues at the heart of Punjab’s soul. Justice will not be served until main culprits behind Drug Mafia are given exemplary punishment, this is merely a first step, Will fight till punishment is given which acts as deterrent for generations. We must choose honest & righteous & shun drug traffickers & their protectors. After 5.5 Years of fight against Corrupt System run by Badal Family & Captain and delay of 4 years without action taken on ED & STF Report against Majithia. Finally now, after pushing for credible officers in positions of power and influence first step has been taken !!
