December Holiday: Punjab govt declares gazatted holiday under negotiable instruments act in the state

Punjab govt has declared December 28,2023 (Thursday) as a gazetted holiday due to Shaheedi Jor Mel at Fatehgarh Sahib.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the State Government said that all the offices of Punjab Government, boards/corporations and government educational institutions will remain closed on Thursday, December 28, in the State. The said holiday is also announced to be a holiday as the interpretation of the section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
