MLA Chadha raises issue of faulty 108 Ambulance services with MD of PHSC

Taking notice of the worst condition of 108 ambulance services, Rupnagar MLA Dinesh Chadha has asked the Managing Director, Punjab Health System Corporation Bhupinder Singh to take action against M/s Ziquitza Health Care Ltd for negligence in providing quality 108 Ambulance services in Rupnagar district
Giving details in press communique, Chadha said that he conducted the surprise inspection of 108 Ambulances in different hospitals of Ropar where he found major lapses in the 108 Ambulances. There is no oxygen pipes in 108 Ambulance which placed in Government hospital Singpur (Nurpur Bedi). Even mechanical service of this Ambulance was due for a long time.
He said that it has also brought to his notice that Ambulance of Block Nurpur Bedi is also used for Block Anandpur Sahib as 108 Ambulance of Government Hospital, Sri Anandpur Sahib met with an accident a few days back but Company didn’t get it repaired. Similarly, ambulance in Government Hospital, Ropar was also without oxygen pipes and even its tyres and conditions were in worst dangerous condition which reflects the negligence of management of M/s Ziquitza Health Care Ltd.
It is also astonishing that no authority has conducted the routine inspection of Ambulances or took action against this company he said adding that
it is a clear cut case of misuse of public money by making payments to this type of company which is playing with lives of public.
