On NCC enrolment Day Col. Aseem Tandon visited Modi College

Col. Aseem Tandon Commanding Officer, 4 Punjab NCC Girls Battalion, Patiala visited Modi College. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal of the College welcomed Col. Tandon on the occasion with a bouquet. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar appreciated the efforts of NCC enrolled cadets and highlighted the achievements of the cadets. Dr. Khushwinder presented before the aspiring cadets the example of great scientist Stephen Hawking and his findings on Artificial Intelligence that in today’s life, the emotions, ethics, and values (Human) must be cherished, otherwise, a time would come, when machines will overpower human. He said that by becoming NCC Cadets gives you a chance to cherish the ethics related to unity and discipline.

Col. Aseem Tandon gave a very motivational speech describing benefits and advantages of NCC in studies and future. He captured the students by presenting before them a short film on International Rifle Shooting player “Anjali Bhagwat” who was a NCC Cadet. He interacted with the students and answered their questions. On this occasion, a small play on the theme “Plant Trees was presented by NCC Cadets and other students of the college. Rasaldar Major Hony. Lt. Hakam Singh and CHM N. R. Jadav accompanied Col. Tandon from the unit. Prof. (Ms.) Poonam Sharma, College NCC (Girls) Wing In charge was also present on the occasion. Senior Cadets Gursharan Kaur, Rimple, Nishu Chourasia, Nitika Sharma, Damini participated in making the event a success. A tree was planted by NCC girls cadets in the presence of Col. Tandon and Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar in the College premises.
