Number 5 significant in solving Nabha looting case; 5 arrested by 5 officers in 5 days and recovered 5 weapons

Today, Varun Sharma IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, in a press communiqué informed that Patiala Police has got another success in its special campaign by busting a cash looting case in five days.
During the special operation conducted by Mohammad Sarfaraj Alam, IPS, Superintendent of Police, City, Patiala, Harbir Singh Atwal, PPS, Superintendent of Police, Investigation, Patiala, Sukhamrit Singh Randhawa, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Investigation, Patiala, Devinder Attri, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nabha and Inspector Shaminder Singh, Incharge CIA Patiala along with his team members had arrested five criminals namely Parvinder Singh alias Ravi, resident of village jattimajra village, Manpreet Singh alias Lavi alias Manna resident of village bararawala, Surinder Singh Soni resident of village jattimajra, Mandip Singh alias Vicky resident of daulatpura and Amandeep singh alias Golu resident of village ruldu singh wala, dhuri district sangrur along with one 12 bore rifle with 5 rounds, one sickle, one knife and two iron rods . With the arrest of these five persons the police has also recovered Rs 2.00 lakh cash and solved the looting case in less than a week’s time.
He further informed that the accused Parvinder Singh is 10th passed and is a driver, Manpreet Singh is graduate is doing a marketing job, Surinder Singh is 7th passed and is into agriculture, Mandeep Singh is 10+2 passed is a laborer, Amandeep Singh is 6th passed is also a laborer.
They all looted the cash from Das Bharat Gas agency, near Rajwant hospital, Nabha on February 16,2023 evening after entering the gas agency and threatening the owner with sharp weapons before taking away the cash . With their arrest the police also recovered the cash from them along with the arms, motor cycle used in the crime.

Elaborating further, he said that the gang is headed by Parvinder Singh and Manpreet Singh and both remained in Nabha and sangrur jail for snatching and robbery cases. They remained active in Nabha, Dhuri ,Bhawanigarh and nearby areas.
