Harnoor Kaur Nagra , a young Player from Patiala has been selected in Indian team for South Asian Kurash championships-2024(Junior) , which is going to be held at Cochin , Kerala on 19-20th April 2024 .

Harnoor Kaur Nagra 14 year old girl has competed with 5 year elder player to qualify for India team in -70kg weight category in trails which held at Punjabi University Patiala on 16-17 March 2024.

Kurash that is attracting millions of people round the world has its long rooted history. Kurash refers to a number of folk wrestling styles practiced in Central Asia. Kurash wrestlers use towels to hold their opponents, and their goal is to throw their opponents off the feet.

Kurash made its debut at the 2018 Asian Games which was held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia. It also made its debut at the 30th Southeast Asian Games hosted by the Philippines in 2019.
