Plans to celebrate World Anti-Tobacco Day discussed

A meeting to chalk out the plans to celebrate World Anti-Tobacco Day was held at Ivy Hospital, Mohali today where hospital’s doctors urged representatives from various associations and NGO including Lions Club, Mohali Senior Citizens Association, FOSWAC , Nishkam Sewak Jatha etc to organize screening activities in their respective location to support the mission.
Under theme, ‘Save Generation Next ‘,Dr Jatin Sarin DM-medical oncology will conduct health talks in schools and colleges to aware youth about ill-effects of tobacco. It is also planned to hold various activities in corporate offices also.
During occasion Dr Suresh Goyal, pulmonologist , Dr Shubh Mahindaru, onco-surgeon and Dr. Amit cardiologist also shared their plans besides urging delegates for their support in timely screening and awareness on tobacco use related diseases.

Bikramjeet Singh Chawla, Balbir Singh Arora, Harkirat Singh, VM Wadhwa, GS Chhena, Bhagwant Singh, Lion JPS Sehdev, Lion Jasvinder Singh, Arun Sharma, Baljinder Singh, Sandeep Bhalla, AS Parmar, Jaspal Singh Naresh Kahnna , Mandeep Singh , Prem Sharma, AK Goel, Amarjot Singh , S. Chaudhary, A. Chaudhary and Sanjay Goel attended the meeting
