Police DAV Patiala students paid tributes to sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh ji

To commemorate the supreme sacrifice of chaar sahibzaadas of tenth sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Shaheedi Jor Mel was celebrated by Police DAV Public School, Patiala. The martyrdom of the four sahibzaadas (Baba Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh) is an important part of Sikh history .On this occasion they are remembered for their supreme sacrifice towards Sikhism.
To mark this day special virtual assembly was conducted by Pansy House in which Manpreet Kaur of class 7th delivered a speech telling the significance of these days. A Short documentary was shown in all classes related to their heroic deeds and sacrifices. Amandeep of class 9th and Sahib of class 7th recited beautiful poems paying tribute to these sahibzaadas .Swastik Sharma of class fifth read out the names of four sahibzaadas. Samreet Kaur of class 6 recited a poem wishing good health and happiness for New year.
Principal MeenaThapar explained Saka Sirhind and importance of Shaheedi Jor Mel and motivated all to be brave and determined in their work. She further added that such tales of vigor inspire generations to work unitedly for their land. Students were informed that Guru Gobind Singh had sacrificed his family and four sons for welfare of society.
Police DAV Patiala students paid tributes to sahibzadas of Guru Gobid Singh ji. School principal Meena Thapar expressed her greetings on the coming New Year and wished it to be prosperous for everyone.The meeting concluded on an inspiring note.
